The Tooth Fairy

My movie log is seriously backdated. I have been too busy and too reluctant to post anything but FYP stuff. Anyhow, caught this movie awhile back. So, I doubt it's showing now. But I think it's a good rent if you plan to rent the DVD.

Synopsis as follows: Dwayne Johnson is "The Tooth Fairy," also known as Derek Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their teeth. When Derek discourages a young boy's hopes, he's sentenced to one week's hard labour as a real tooth fairy, complete with the requisite wings and magic wand. At first, Derek can't handle the tooth - bumbling and stumbling as he tries to secretly wing his way through strangers' homes doing what tooth fairies do. But as Derek slowly adapts to his new position, he begins to rediscover his own forgotten dreams.

The movie has a stellar cast - Dwayne Johnson, Julie Andrews (I love Julie Andrews), Billy Crystal and Ashley Judd. It's not totally like Kindergarden Cop or any of those movies that mix kids with adults. It's more fantasy-filled. And I love the fairy elements. Not exactly a thinking movie. But it's a nice lol date movie. =D Go Watch!
