Surrogate

Watched "Surrogate" on Saturday. Bruce Willis stars as a cop in a world filled with androids. These robotic "surrogates" of actual human beings allow humans to lead a supposedly safer life, since they are protected from harm by staying at home from crime and contagious diseases. The surrogates also allow one to lead a life of fun, try things one has never tried before and look as gorgeous as ever. It's like Second Life or The Sims but better and more real. However, two ghastly attacks on two surrogates lead to the murders of their operators, entering Bruce Willis. Murders have not been happening in a while. Also, definitely not murders linking to the destruction of surrogates. This suspenseful action drama is not a bad movie, I guess. Didn't leave me thinking though, which I assumed is what they wanted viewers to do. Just felt that surrogates had ultra smooth skin with no blemishs. And after watching the movie, I was just not used to seeing people around me. Worried that they were surrogates. Disconcerting. And I think Bruce Willis looks better than his surrogate. That blond wig just looks weird on him.

Tried Cathay's cinema delivery. Found it distracting to say the least. Everytime the usher walked by, I turned my head to check if it was our order. And when it finally was our turn, I felt the packaging of the thing was rather noisy and definitely receiving my order, though a mere two seconds, was a distraction. Perhaps they could give out all the food orders during the commercials, before the actual movie started.

And yes, Cathay has commercials, just like GV. Damn.
