Permed Eyelashes

After a fun night of mj-ing with Hui and her friends and a few hours of sleep, I met Charissa at City Hall... A few weeks ago, Char asked if I was game to perm my eyelashes as there was a Big Deal discount going on. So we bought our coupons and booked our appointments and the faithful day arrived. Did a bit of research and got a bit scared that our eyelashes will fall off after the treatment. But we still turned up.

Firstly, lashes got clumped, so immediately...I couldn't see anything. :( A little scary since someone was poking and prodding your eyelids. And then the lady put on some liquid on my lashes. And started pulling at them. I think she pulled out some of my lashes in the process. Smelled chemicals (like when you rebond your hair). And then she put the plastic sheet over your eyelids and went away for around half an hour. After removing the plastic sheet and the clumping equipment and cleaning away any residue, the process was completed.

I think it looked okay. Because of the deal, it was $25. However, if it was at its original price of $45, I think I wouldn't have tried it. Sadly, my lashes are like my hair...stubborn as a mule. They didn't curl well enough and I think cuz my lashes were stumpy anyways, the effect wasn't as obvious. Still have to apply mascara and what not. Sigh.
