Food Movies

I love movies with food. I think it shows how real life should be, with real people eating real food and so on. And not model types who don't eat. Watched "Julie and Julia"and "Cloudy with Meatballs" over the long weekend. I LOVE "Cloudy with Meatballs" for its quirky characters (I LOVE THE police man guy and the inventor's dad. Dig those eyebrows). And the movie made me hungry. =D

I heard good raves about "Julie & Julia" so I went to catch it. Was alright. But not spectacular, cuz it's just about their lives. But I'm glad they made normal life attractive enough to watch and true love... they made me believe in the notion of true love, cuz the movie was based on a true story.

Unhappily enough, I read in CLEO that Julie Powell, the author of Julie & Julia, the book...she went and start an affair. So much for her husband being "the butter to her bread". Disillusioned. Guess that's life, no such thing as true love, just companionship for however long you can stand each other or until you find someone else. Haha.
