Earl Swensens & Honeymoon Dessert
Met Min on Monday for dinner and a quick catch-up. I do appreciate such occasional meet-ups. Puts a bit more variety to my usual work-life routine.
Went to Earl Swensens at Vivo City - the atas version of Swensens. Had my favorite crayfish pasta (at a more exorbitant price of course, especially if you consider that there is the one for one lunchtime offer at Swensens nowadays). What's different was that Earl Swensens serve their food in servings for two. So Min and I shared the pasta.
Instead of the usual ice cream at Swensens, we headed to Honeymoon Dessert which was one of the many eating places that Fiona recommended in HK. So, I finally got to eat at the Singapore version and it was a must to order Durian pancake to share. Haha. YUMS. I also love the chinchow mixed with red bean and vanilla ice cream that I ordered. Really different from the usual Chinese desserts. :)
In a bid to get rid of our durian breath, we bought UK Licorice candy. YUMS! First time trying and it tasted great and looked very cute as well. Will try a different flavour next time. I just don't like the candy being stuck in my teeth. But the idea of fresh candy instead of the supermarket mints does appeal to me. :) Perhaps I should stuff my mint box with fresh candy. Haha.
Walked around a bit. Checked out Forever 21, Crocs (couldn't find Mary Janes anymore :( ) and PULL & BEAR, where Min chose her pre-birthday present. Haha.
Good catch-up. :)
