Today was a foodie day
Hello world, finally a weekend worth reporting...
Met up with the VJ clique to celebrate CAROLYN's belated birthday. Happy Birthday, babe! Have an awesome time in Japan!
EVERYONE was late. :( So by the time Hui and me trooped over to Food for Thought, there was a queue and a 45 minute wait. Thankfully, we got our seats after some chit-chat. Food for Thought has a lovely customisable brunch menu. Go for the scrambled eggs and the garlic mushrooms. YUM! We also tried the pancakes with milk chocolate chunks for dessert. FLUFFIEST pancakes ever.... :) But I'm not gonna go for chocolate next time, too heaty. My throat was all sore after.
And then it was bubble tea at Wo Ai Tai Mei (who wants to queue for Koi? Hmph!) and shopping around Bugis Village. There is a vintage trend. Many cute little vintage outlets in Bugis Village. But the crowd as usual was SCARY. If not for the good finds, I wouldn't bother. Wasn't a satisfying shopping trip for me though. Left with a layered tee and a sleeveless midi because I felt that I MUST get something. I can't wait for bkk shopping in January.
Had Jap buffet dinner with my parents at this quaint Jap place on Killiney Road. Alright only. But a wide variety. And sashimi was good, as always. I guess I might be able to live on just sashimi, like one of the girls in Sunday Times, who eats salmon sashimi everyday and just that only. Walked all the way back in my heels cuz parents didn't drive. DAMN.
Visited NEXX over the week. Had a lot of good eating outlets. But not much shopping, except Isetan, Watsons and Sasa. Since I was with my parents, I got a lot of free purchases. Firstly, my new Xmas-y Starbucks tumbler! :D And BB cream from Dr. G. Happy me!
Not sure what to do tomorrow. Guess I will just stay at home and write something about virtual desktops. :(
